Cyber Safety workshop
Dear parents and carers
Oaklands Catholic School and St Peter’s Catholic Primary School are pleased to offer you the opportunity to attend a Cyber Safety workshop on 29thJanuary 2019.
The attached letter is from Lee Haywood who has worked with and supported our schools with issues related to ESafety. He is leading the workshops and a member of the Oaklands pastoral team and / or St Peter’s staff will be present at each of the presentations so that we can take questions from you and discuss the approach that the police and schools are jointly taking on these issues.
There are 2 workshops lasting approximately 1 hour. Places are limited to 50 adults per session. There is also a new initiative, iParent, which is a workshop which you bring your devices along to, to find out how to set up security settings and manage your child’s use of apps. These last 30 minutes and are available for parents to book onto as well.
Please email the booking form with your preferred session time(s) by 11.30am Monday 28th January to firstname.lastname@example.org to secure a place. Parents from Oaklands and St Peter’s school are welcome to attend either presentation. Parents from both Oaklands and St Peter’s schools should use the email address above to for bookings. You will be notified if you have got your preferred time slot or not. If demand exceeds the number of places, there is a second date planned for later this term.
We look forward to welcoming parents to these events and many thanks in advance for your support for this initiative.
