Students complete a range of designing and making projects and focused tasks to develop their knowledge and understanding and the skills required for GCSE.

Students also learn about materials and processes, industrial manufacture, the factors that influence design, CAD/CAM and the impact of design and manufacture on society

Much of Year 11 is spend on Controlled Assessment work which is 50% of the GCSE.  Students are required to design and make and electronic product.

The remaining time is spent on exam preparation and revision.
