Teacher of Science 

Start Date:  Easter / September 2018
 
The Governors are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Science to join our hardworking, committed and enthusiastic team. This position is a pivotal part of the delivery and support of the curriculum to enable the high standard of teaching and learning in the School and Sixth Form College.

The Governors are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Geography to join our successful Geography department. The role is likely to include teaching all age ranges at the school, including at A level.

Support Staff

Safeguarding and Welfare Manager 
 
The governors are seeking to appoint a Safeguarding and Welfare Manager to join our hardworking, committed and enthusiastic pastoral team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of pastoral and welfare support for students. This role will require liaison with the Heads of Year, Head / Deputies / SLT and SENCo, Student Services, teaching staff and relevant non-teaching support staff and parents to encourage acceptable standards of attendance, punctuality and behaviour in all aspects of school life. The successful candidate will assist in keeping parents informed of students’ welfare and respond as necessary to parent concerns.

Oaklands is a very successful school described by Ofsted as “a very good school, which gives good Christian teaching as well as being a good school academically”.

OCS provides a supportive environment and induction programme for all new staff and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced CRB and other pre-employment checks. Only applications submitted on a CES application form will be considered.

The school is always looking to appoint high quality staff. Shortage subjects include Science (Physics Chemistry and Biology), Maths and MFL.
