Spanish is an increasingly popular modern foreign language spoken by 40 million people. On this course you will develop understanding of the oral and written forms of Spanish. Learn to communicate confidently, clearly and effectively in Spanish through both the spoken and written word and develop critical insights into, and contact with, the contemporary society, cultural background and heritage of countries or communities where Spanish is spoken. Visits include a study trip to Santander in Spain.

French

While any language will be useful for some jobs or for some regions, French is the only foreign language that can be useful throughout the world. French is the only language other than English spoken on five continents. During the course you will develop understanding and the ability to communicate confidently, clearly and effectively in French. In addition you will increase your sensitivity to language and language learning.
